The UQFC Angels Academy program is designed to perfect and accelerate the skill development of identified players between the critical ages of nine to 13, and aims to give these players the technical tools to play at the highest possible level.
It is based on world’s best practice and has been developed by internationally acclaimed technical coaches and the FFA Technical Department.
As a Licensee, UQFC plays an important role in providing a best practice training environment and youth training plan, while also providing FQ Academy Carnivals for players to test their skills in a competitive environment.
Both the FQ Academy and Angels Development programmes are facilitated by the UQFC Director of Coaching - Junior Girls (Matt Skeers), and FFA C Youth Licensed coaches.
Initial trial sessions are held prior to each season.
FQ Academy runs from February to September and is split into six week cycles. The program does not run over school holidays. Due to FQ Academy being a full-time program with weekly games, players may not able to also play in another team for the club.
